RIP, Linksys Wireless Adapter

Okay, my wireless card died last night. Well, it could be comatose. It has brief fits were it will see the router, but won't pull a valid IP address. Luckily, I move in a week. and next Friday, I'll have my own modem. Now the only thing distracting me from packing is my shawl! I'm 117 rows into it, and it's really lovely. Pictures soon to come!

Also in packing, I've found yarn I forgot I even had. I've emptied the boxes of yarn and fiber into my vacuum storage bags and once I can borrow my mom's vacuum, we'll see how well they work.

Ok, so I'm a slacker.

I have been busy moving to GA, packing, unpacking. I am just about to get into the swing of knitting again. I ventured out yesterday to the closest yarn shop I could find - the Needle Nook - it was a bit small but an awsome selection, baby grande, noro, irish wools, oh so much yarn - I was in heaven. I did not buy any yarn this trip but I did get a book, Easy Knitted Accessories, there are a few patterns in there that I wnat to make. The ladys there were real nice. The told me about the AKG (Atlanta Knitting Guild) and I am thinking about checking it out, hell I need to make some friends. That is about all for now so here is a finished project for you.

I made this for my husbands mother, she loves it and it will keep her very warm this comming winter since it is 50% alpaca and 50% wool :)

I am still working on orange warmth, slowly, I have decided to make matching fingerless gloves for her also... she can not wait!

More awesome Secret Pal gifts!

I came home after a really terrible day at work to find presents! It was just what I needed. I immediatly tore open my bag to see my goodies. And my pal did not dissapoint me. I recieved a small knitting bag, perfect for when I don't want to carry my big bag around. I have some super soft cotton yarn - 2 skeins each of Cleckheaton Fiddle De Dee and Heirloom 4-ply Cotton. On top of that, I also got a skein of Cleckheaton Divine, which is indeed divine.

Let's tuck everything away in the bag!
