The wheels are turning.
I'm about a week away from completing my Shaped Triangle Shawl. I misinterpreted the pattern, and since I had 475 live stitches I assumed I about that much for the border. However, I have to knit 2 rows for every live stitch I knit together with the lace edge. Hence, doubling the number of rows.
Kiri is getting my undivided attention when I'm at work and progressing nicely. I think it'll look lovely once its blocked. I'm going to post a bad but current picture.
Once I finish the shaped triangle, I'm going to order the yarn to make yet another shawl. I also plan on starting on the famous Rogue hoodie. I think I'm going to make it in Elsebeth Lavold Silky Wool, though I'm not sure what color yet. And today, an idea hit me: I should knit myself a hammock. I'm thinking of getting a hemp/cotton blend, and doubling it up. It's not a sure thing yet, but how much would that rock?
In Cafe news, I had forgotten to take the stitch markers I made out of my purse, so I showed the set to Judy. She suggested that I make some and sell them on consignment. I'm going to look for some of the supplies on eBay and give it a shot. I'm also going to be designing the Close-Knit Cafe website with in the next few weeks. It's not going to be anything extremely fancy, but cool nonetheless.
