Pondering sans pictures...
I hope everyone had a great Kwana-Chana-Yule-Mas this year. I have to say, I did pretty well. While there's no boyfriend or hubby to shower me with gifts, there's always the 'Rents. And they came through. I got enough cash from the family as a whole to order another drum carder or a new wheel. But I'm not going to do that... tempting as it may be. But just what to buy... it's so tough. I look through Spin-Off in the bath tub and dream. I browse KnitPicks and other fiber/yarn sights like it's porn. Like you don't!
A few things I'd currently like to buy:
- The book 'Heirloom Knitting'
- The book 'Latvian Mittens'
- KnitPicks Options knitting needles
- An insane amount of fiber from Little Barn Inc
- More sock yarn
- A lace flier for my Traveller
- An iPod (see? Not everything is about spinning and knitting)
- A new kitchen table
- A tattoo
Sigh, what's a girl to do?
Mom loved her doilies. I couldn't figure out at first how I'd wrap them up. Then genius struck. I went to a thrift shop ad bought the most horrible Christmas album they had (in this case it was the Osmand Brother's "We Sing You A Merry Christmas." The last thing on earth my mom would every listen to. She laughed pretty hard when she opened it. All in all, a great holiday.
My next big lace pattern is a Niebling table cloth from a Burda Magazine. I'm going to see if I can bribe the German exchange student staying next door to my aunt with knitted goods to translate the short written instructions.

I'd buy the needle set and Little Barn stuff (love that place)... and just get the books at the library. That's what I'd do *grin*
Have fun spending :)
