Kentucky State Fair time!
Sorry I haven't posted in two weeks, I've been getting last minute stuff ready for the fair along with some general laziness. The fair started on Thursday, and I've been three times already. I'm pretty much faired out at this point. I entered three items, and ended up with two ribbons: a second and a third. I was a bit disappointed that my shawl didn't get a ribbon at all, since it was a more complicated pattern than last years.
Kirstie wanted to spray paint the judges' houses with "WTF? Knitta Please!" but I pointed out I don't know who the judges were. She thought we should just randomly spray paint people's houses in that case. This is why she's my best friend.
I'm still happy with my results though, and I'm planning for next year already.
Yesterday, Kirstie, Chris, and I went to the fair and looked at the bunnies. One of the bunny owners was selling angora fur, so I bought a beautiful bag of grey angora that weighed 4 oz for $20. I think I'm going to blend it up with a pale pink, and mix a bit of fuscia silk with it. I think that would look nice.
I'm still working on my site upgrade, which means I'm thinking about it, but no work has actually been done yet. My mind has been occupied lately. I did have an interview for the promotion, and now I'm just waiting to hear. Hopefully I'll know something soon.

Yay Ribbons!
I am assuming you live in Louisville. I lived there for many years. Now I live in Bowling Green, but work in Nashville. Yeah, that’s a long story. Oh, and I'm a knitter.

Your items are gorgeous! I think they all should have gotten first place! Let me know if you find out where those judges live!!!! :)

I'm all for the random spray painting and then when they are draggin you away to jail you can wear a t-shirt stating your cause. Or when you come before the judge, instead of pleading guilty you can scream your reasoning. That oughta get some attention. Trully, the items I see around yours aren't nearly as complicated. Idiots!!!!

I will scoop the backyard and bring the brown paper bags. Just tell me which porch to light them on.
